The winner of the Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov Award, presented to the league’s most valuable player of the season, has been announced.
Following the results of the 2025 season, the individual prize went to Gleb Makridov, who received the award at the annual QJL Awards ceremony.
In his third season in the Freedom QJ League, Makridov scored 19 goals in 19 matches, finishing just one goal behind the league’s top scorer, Daulet Orynbasar. He also registered 10 assists.
His most productive performances came against Kaisar — in Matchweek 9, he delivered a 2+2 display, and in the second fixture (Matchweek 20) recorded a hat-trick and one assist. In addition, Makridov set a league record for total minutes played (4,502) and goal contributions (39), surpassing Kairat’s Dastan Satpayev in the latter category.
The impressive season of Shakhter’s super-sub was crucial to Karaganda’s long-awaited bronze medals.
For reference, in 2023 the MVP award went to Dimash Serikuly of Taraz, and in the following season the Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov Award was presented to Dastan Satpayev (Kairat).
Thanks to the cooperation between the Freedom QJ League and Changan Kazakhstan – the official distributor of the Changan brand in Kazakhstan and a member of Astana Motors - this year's award winner will receive a grant for a trial with a foreign club.
