Vait Abdul-Khamidovich is a master of sports of the USSR, one of the most successful Kazakh coaches. In 1976-1982 he played for Kairat Almaty in the first and highest leagues of the USSR championship. In his debut season, the team won the first league tournament and advanced to the higher league.
In 2003-2005, as well as in 2006-2007, he was the head coach of Terek Grozny. Under his leadership, in 2004, Terek took first place in the First Division of the PFL, won the Russian Cup.
