The “Arman” tournament has concluded in Shymkent – the first in a series of traditional preseason national competitions for youth teams.

Players born in 2010 took part in the tournament. In the upcoming season, this age group will compete in the Freedom QJ League U-17 championship.

The tournament took place from February 22 to March 3. Its format did not include the distribution of prize places – the priority was the development of young players, increasing their competitive experience, and providing quality preparation for the upcoming championship.

Ahead are similar national tournaments for other age groups that will participate in the new League season: “Zhastar” and “Daryn”. Experts from the Sports Analytics Unit are closely monitoring the progress of the preseason competitions.

“It’s interesting to observe promising players and monitor the teams. All of this is part of the training process: friendly matches and preparatory tournaments. Of course, there is competition on the pitch – you can see that no one wants to lose.

Each team has its own leaders. Right now, our department is identifying players with strong potential. We will form a pool of around 60 players: 30 in the main list and another 30 in the reserve. After that, we will work with them systematically.

There are good players, but we would prefer not to give premature praise. We still need to see how the first stage of our championship goes, and we will closely monitor them during this period,” noted SAU expert Evgeniy Yarovenko.
