This weekend will mark the decisive stage of the Freedom QJ League B season – the final round of matches.
While Ontustik has already secured the championship title ahead of schedule, the battle for silver remains wide open, with three contenders still in the race: KFF Academy (32 points), Okzhetpes (31 points), and Kyzylzhar (29 points).
The centerpiece of the week will be the clash between KFF Academy and Kyzylzhar. Their first-leg encounter ended in a 1-1 draw, which means that a home victory would allow the Petropavlovsk side to leapfrog their younger opponents and secure a spot among the medalists. A draw or defeat, however, would leave them outside the top three.
Yet even a win does not guarantee Kyzylzhar second place. That scenario will only unfold if Okzhetpes fails to defeat Yelimay. Should the Kokshetau team draw with the team from Semey while Kyzylzhar triumphs, all three sides would be level on points. In that case, the standings would be determined by head-to-head results: silver would go to Kyzylzhar, bronze to Okzhetpes, and KFF Academy would be left empty-handed.
If Okzhetpes loses to Yelimay, then Kyzylzhar’s victory would push the Kokshetau side out of the medals. Conversely, for KFF Academy, either a win or a draw in the final matchweek would be enough to secure a top-three finish regardless of their own scoreline.
All five fixtures of the week will be played simultaneously on Saturday, kicking off at 12:00. Very soon, we will learn the final standings of the season and discover who claims the medals in Freedom QJ League B.
