Matchweek 20 of the Freedom QJ League is over. We recap the key storylines from the latest round of League A's younger age-group competitions.
Freedom QJ League U-15
Four Assists from Aitmukhambet
Irtysh repeated their result from the first half of the season, once again defeating Kaisar 4-0, this time on home soil.
All four goals came courtesy of Alikhan Aitmukhambet, who delivered an impressive four assists. He set up Amal Isakov, Daniil Baboshko, Amir Kusain and Aidos Otepov, who scored in the 3rd, 16th, 32nd and 46th minutes respectively.
The victory lifted Irtysh into third place. With two matchweeks remaining, the Pavlodar side have 36 points, three more than Aktobe and Shakhter. Kaisar (11 points) sit second from bottom.
Costly Slip-Up for the Red and Whites
Aktobe's five-match unbeaten run came to an end in their sixth game. After three wins and two draws, they suffered a 4-2 home defeat to Tobyl.
Mansur Iskakov gave the visitors an early advantage, completing his brace before half-time. However, Aktobe forward Milan Nadryshin pulled one back just a minute after Iskakov's second goal. Shortly after the restart, Tolegen Nurmash restored Tobyl's two-goal cushion.
In the 58th minute, home defender Alisher Turatayev converted a penalty, only to receive his second yellow card four minutes later. With a numerical advantage, Tobyl put the game beyond doubt when Ismedzhan Bermukhambet scored in the 73rd minute.
Aktobe dropped to fourth place, while Tobyl secured second place with two matchweeks to spare. Their lead over third-placed Irtysh stands at seven points.
The Miners Rejoin the Medal Race
Shakhter cruised to a 5-0 victory over bottom-placed Kaspiy. Yerasyl Abilda, Arnur Batyrbay, Alisher Kanat, Sanzhar Kazbekov and Mikhail Matyukhin were all on the scoresheet.
For some members of the Karaganda side, the match carried special significance. The 14-year-old son of Igor Shatskiy, the legendary Shakhter goalkeeper and League ambassador who made more than 30 appearances for Kazakhstan, made his Freedom QJ League debut.
Maksim has followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a goalkeeper. He came on in the 62nd minute with the score at 4-0, replacing Askhat Amangeldy, and did not concede before the final whistle.
The victory brought Shakhter level on points with Aktobe, leaving the battle for third place wide open.

Ismail Sharip Rescues Irtysh
Irtysh avoided a costly slip-up at home against bottom-placed Kaisar, snatching a dramatic 2-1 victory in stoppage time.
Syrym Sansyzbai opened the scoring as early as the fourth minute, but Wolves defender Nurali Koibagarov quickly equalised. The score then remained unchanged for more than 70 minutes.
The hero for the hosts was Ismail Sharip, who struck the winning goal in the first minute of second-half stoppage time.
The Pavlodar side remain sixth with 33 points and can no longer finish higher than fourth. With all the favourites winning their matches, Ordabasy (36 points) are now the only team still capable of challenging third-placed Aktobe (40 points). Kaisar, meanwhile, suffered their 17th defeat in 19 matches.
Seven-Goal Thriller in Karaganda
The match between Shakhter and Kaspiy turned into a genuine thriller, with the hosts emerging victorious 4-3.
The visitors took the lead twice. Rakhmanberdi Alexandr broke the deadlock in the 18th minute before Maksim Bonet and Temirlan Baibulatov turned the game around. However, a brace from Nurkanat Amantai had put Kaspiy back in front by the 67th minute.
The response was immediate and equally emphatic. Substitute Nikita Dukhov also scored twice, finding the net in the 70th and 74th minutes to restore Shakhter's lead.
The Miners were reduced to ten men in the 79th minute when Timur Damiruly received a straight red card, but they managed to hold on for the victory.
Four Goals from Dastan Rustem
Back on 20 September, Kairat thrashed Zhas Kyran 6-1 in their Matchweek 20 fixture. The standout performer was Dastan Rustem, who scored four goals.
He completed his hat-trick between the 7th and 18th minutes before adding his fourth from the penalty spot late in the match to complete the scoring. His second goal had also come from a penalty.
Azamat Kuttymurat and substitute Yelnur Abdray also found the net for Kairat, while Artur Toktogulov scored the visitors' consolation goal.
The Yellow and Blacks remain unbeaten, with 17 wins and two draws from 19 matches.

Leaders Make No Mistakes
With just two matchweeks remaining, the title race is still fiercely contested. Shakhter lead the standings with 53 points, while Kairat trail the Miners by only two.
In the latest round, the Karaganda side recorded an emphatic 6-1 away victory over Kaspiy. Meanwhile, the Yellow and Blacks defeated Zhas Kyran 4-2 on their opponents' home ground despite a brace from Bagashar Yersinuly.
One of Kairat's goals came from Roman Chernomorets, who has primarily featured for the U-18 side this season. Alikhan Abdi also contributed to the team's victory.
On Sunday, Shakhter and Kairat will meet in Karaganda. There is a strong possibility that the destination of the gold medals will be decided in this very match.
Aktobe Keep Their Bronze Medal Hopes Alive
The match at Tobyl Arena was a tense affair as the Kostanay club hosted one of their fiercest historical rivals, Aktobe.
While Tobyl sit second from bottom in the U-17 competition, their western rivals remain firmly in contention for third place, having even occupied that position after Matchweek 19.
In the first half, the Red and Whites did everything they could to protect their standing. Arsen Baizhanov opened the scoring in the 16th minute after an assist from Alinur Kenzhin, before Kenzhin himself doubled the lead in the 34th.
However, Tobyl forward Yerasyl Seidakhmetov pulled one back towards the end of the first half. After the break, goals from Mansur Rsalin and Ashot Badalyan turned the game around in favour of the hosts.
Aktobe managed to rescue a point only in the dying moments of stoppage time, when Baizhanov struck again following another assist from Kenzhin. Final score: 3-3.
The Red and Whites collected one point but were overtaken by Ordabasy, who defeated Taraz. Aktobe must now win their remaining matches while hoping the Shymkent side drop points.
