A ceremonial Freedom QJ League match was held in Kyzylorda, becoming the 1000th game in the League’s history. Local side Kaysar hosted Tobol of Kostanay in the U-18 tournament.
The game took place at Kaysar Arena, which opened in October 2025. The modern stadium, with a capacity of 10,300 spectators, meets UEFA Category 4 requirements and is capable of hosting international-level matches.
A ceremony was held before kick-off, attended by First Deputy Akim of Kyzylorda Region Daniyar Zhanalinov, Head of the Kyzylorda Region Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Bakhtiyar Artaev, Chairman of the Freedom QJ League Supervisory Board Timur Turlov, and League President Rokhus Shokh.
The match ended in a 1–0 victory for Kaysar. The only goal of the game was scored in the 38th minute by Kyzylorda midfielder Ernar Parda. It was his first goal in the U-18 tournament.
Parda was named Player of the Match. Nursultan Pirim, Director of the Changan Kyzylorda dealership center, presented Ernar with an iPhone 17 Pro, a special prize from Changan Kazakhstan and Astana Motors.
The 1000th match took place in the atmosphere of a major football celebration. Fans in Kyzylorda enjoyed numerous prize draws and entertainment activities, as well as a vibrant show programme, including musical performances.
Before the match, the official Freedom QJ League anthem was performed by an orchestra. At halftime, singer DARICORN performed for the crowd together with a dance group, while recording artist ARO closed out the matchday.
A total of 7,725 fans were in attendance at Kaysar Arena.
The Freedom QJ League project was founded by Timur Turlov and Rochus Schoch in 2023 and is held under the auspices of the Kazakhstan Football Federation.
For the first time, the League brought conditions close to professional championships into junior football. The competitions are held on a weekly cycle in a round-robin format with home and away matches.
The logistics, meals and accommodation of visiting teams in comfortable hotels are fully covered and organized by the League through private funding from the general partner, Freedom Holding Corp.
Over the League’s first three years, more than 350 juniors who played in it moved into professional football, while Kazakhstan’s U-17 and U-19 youth national teams reached the decisive round of UEFA European Championship qualification for the first time in history.
In the 2026 season, Freedom QJ League competitions will involve around 2,000 boys and girls from 18 regions of Kazakhstan. Under the League’s umbrella, youth tournaments are held in the U-18, U-17, U-16 and U-15 age categories, as well as a tournament for female footballers under the age of 17.
