Halfway Through the Season: Top Scorers and Assist Leaders of the First Half

Main image

The second half of all Freedom QJ League tournaments kicks off this week — and clear leaders have already emerged in each competition.

Here are the most productive players of the League based on the first half of the season.

Freedom QJ League

Top scorer: Abylay Toleukhan (Kairat) – 12 goals

Closest chaser: Daulet Orynbasar (Kairat) – 11 goals

Top assist providers: Abylay Toleukhan (Kairat) and Gleb Makridov (Shakhtyor) – 6 assists

Closest chaser: Beibarys Abilda (Kairat) – 5 assists

Abylay is having a great season — and it’s quite possible he’ll surpass last year’s stats (15 goals and 9 assists across the U-17 and U-18 tournaments). He’s recently slowed down a bit — no goals in his last two matches — but in Matchweek 10, Toleukhan dished out three assists, intensifying his competition with Gleb Makridov from Shakhtyor.

Daulet Orynbasar, who dominated last season's U-17 tournament, is keeping close to his teammate — the 16-year-old forward has scored in six straight matchweeks.

Freedom QJ League B

Top scorers: Tamirlan Kalymzhanov (Okzhetpes) and Alihan Ali (Ontustik) – 11 goals

Closest chaser: Platon Shipitsin (KFF Academy) – 7 goals

Top assist provider: Alan Kamar (Ontustik) – 5 assists

Closest chasers: Amirkhan Maratov (KFF Academy), Temirlan Yermek and Alihan Ali (both Ontustik) – 4 assists

KFF Academy, Ontustik, and Okzhetpes are fiercely battling for top spots in the standings — so it’s no surprise that the individual leaderboards are also dominated by players from these clubs. Ali and Kalymzhanov are the key rivals here, with 15 and 14 combined goals and assists respectively.

Freedom QJ League U17

Top scorer: Roman Chernomorets (Kairat) – 11 goals

Closest chaser: Adiyat Otarbek (Ordabasy) – 10 goals

Top assist provider: Ibragim Baurzhanov (Aktobe) – 6 assists

Closest chaser: Rasul Akimov (Shakhtyor) – 5 assists

14-year-old Roman Chernomorets was eligible to play in the U16 tournament this year, but instead, he’s leading among older players — with 11 goals and 4 assists, he tops the “goals + assists” category for the first half of the season.

His teammate Nilesh Sharma also deserves a mention — the forward has 9 goals and 3 assists, tying with Adiyat Otarbek for second place in total contributions.

Freedom QJ League U16

Top scorer: Anuar Tolendi (Astana) – 10 goals

Closest chasers: Ibragim Asan and Islam Rashidov (both Kairat) – 7 goals

Top assist provider: Temirlan Abzhapar (Kairat) – 8 assists

Closest chaser: Georgiy Grechka (Astana) – 4 assists

Two four-goal games and a couple more finishes helped Tolendi confidently take the lead in the scoring race. Notably, Anuar missed nearly half of the first round — from Matchweek 7 to 11.

As for Temirlan Abzhapar, his consistency stands out — in nine matchweeks, he left the pitch without an assist only three times.

Freedom QJ League W

Top scorer: Angelina Oster (Kairat) – 14 goals

Closest chaser: Asyl Pazyl (Astana) – 11 goals

Top assist provider: Zhaniya Makhash (Kairat) – 14 assists

As for Zhaniya, she contributed at least one goal involvement in every single matchweek of the first round.
