Here are the key moments from the latest round of the girls’ competition.
Kairat take the lead
The Matchweek’s headline clash at Timur Segizbayev Stadium ended in a dominant win, as Kairat defeated Astana 5–0.
Defender Sofia Yashkova opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 18th minute, before Zhaniya Makhash doubled the hosts’ advantage before half-time. Kairat added three more after the break: Sofia Yagudina scored once, while Milena Nikolenko completed a brace.
The result had a direct impact on the title race. Astana had entered the Matchweek top of the table, one point ahead of their rivals. Kairat now lead with 27 points, while the capital side remain on 25.
The reigning champions also took revenge for their only defeat of the season. In Matchweek 3, Kairat lost 0–2 away to Astana. For Astana, meanwhile, this was their first defeat of the campaign – they had recorded eight wins and one draw before their trip to Almaty.
Tobyl take three points in Pavlodar
The Kostanay side defeated Irtysh 5–1 away from home, despite the teams going into half-time level.
Yasmina Mantulina put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute, but Moldir Amangeldy equalised before the break.
The second half decided the contest. Amura Karabayeva scored twice, while Alina Sartayeva and Kalima Besembay also found the net to leave the hosts with no chance.
Tobyl now sit fourth with 14 points, behind Aktobe on tiebreakers, while Irtysh remain seventh with seven points. The Kostanay side also won the teams’ first meeting of the season, although that contest was much closer – 3–2.
Eight unanswered goals in Kyzylorda
The biggest scoreline of the Matchweek came at Gani Muratbayev Stadium, where Aktobe thrashed Kaysar 8–0.
The outcome was effectively decided within the opening 22 minutes, as the visitors scored three times through Aliya Samat, Aizhan Yessirkepova and Dayana Tulebayeva.
Yessirkepova and Tulebayeva both went on to complete braces, while Alua Kaliyeva, Malika Askarova and Inzhu Bolatova also got on the scoresheet.
The Red-and-Whites sit third, but the table remains tight – Tobyl and Shakhter also have 14 points. Kaysar, meanwhile, suffered their eighth consecutive defeat. The Kyzylorda side have three points, with six goals scored and 47 conceded.
Shakhter hold on for the win
In Karaganda, Shakhter defeated Ordabasy 4–2. The hosts went into half-time three goals ahead thanks to Daria Tulegenova, Anastasia Zelenina and Sabina Kryshkina. Amina Auzhanova then made it 4–0 in the 63rd minute.
The visitors did manage to respond late on, with Balsezim Talipbay scoring twice in six minutes, but the southern side could not complete the comeback. The teams’ first meeting of the season had ended in a high-scoring 3–3 draw.
Shakhter now have 14 points and sit fifth, with strong prospects in the race for bronze. Ordabasy are sixth with 10 points.
What’s next?
Four Matchweeks remain until the end of the championship. The race for gold and silver has effectively become a duel between Kairat and Astana, who are more than ten points clear of their nearest challengers.
The battle for bronze, however, promises to be much tighter. Aktobe, Tobyl and Shakhter enter Matchweek 11 level on 14 points, while Ordabasy are only four points behind the trio.
