The Sports Analytics Unit of the Freedom QJ League continues its regional visits as part of the “Methodological Support for Clubs” program.
Analyst experts Igor Shpanyora, Dmitry Vasiliev, and Dmitry Ogay visited the Ordabasy Football Center.
As a reminder, in Matchweek III of the League, the Shymkent-based club hosted Zhas Kyran from Almaty. The home team confidently won the U-17 match with a score of 3:0, while the games in the main tournament and the U-16 category ended in draws – 2:2 and 0:0 respectively.
During the five-day visit, held from May 1 to 5, League representatives monitored the training sessions and matches of all three Ordabasy teams and held meetings with specialists and the management of the football center.
The club’s youth development coordinator presented the Ordabasy academy's game model, providing a detailed explanation of the core principles in both attacking and defensive play.
The League experts discussed with the coaching staff key analytical metrics used to evaluate the performance of both individual players and the team as a whole.
It’s worth noting that the matches against Zhas Kyran were recorded using the BigBro project’s smart camera, enabling access to advanced statistical data.
The day after the matchweek concluded, League experts presented the coaching staff with a detailed analytical report on the U-17 match. The team’s strengths and weaknesses were highlighted, along with the key moments that influenced the outcome.
Additionally, on the final day of the visit, a training session on the topic of “Counterattacks” was conducted.
“Throughout the visit, the coaches at the football center were open, friendly, and eager to share their views on integrating smart cameras and Wyscout analytics into the training process,” – noted League analyst Dmitry Vasiliev.
