5,913 spectators – a new record of attendance at the Vostok Stadium in modern history!
The last time a similar audience in Ust-Kamenogorsk gathered in the distant 2008 in a Premier League match against Aktobe. But a lot of water has flowed since then, instead of Vostok at the stadium plays Altay, and Premier League matches have not been in the city for a long time. So, it is not surprising that the Matchday QJ League festival attracted such a large number of spectators.
Traditionally, apart from the game itself, the audience was treated to a performance by headliner Sadraddin, a raffle of valuable prizes such as PlayStation 5, tablets and smartphones. And of course various fun activities for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest. Who doesn't want to play bowling or darts, take a photo in a branded photo booth, play VR games or table football, have fun with animators and eat delicious food. All this is available at our matches! After all, football is not just a 90-minute game, nowadays it is a full-fledged leisure time and a way to have a great time with your family and friends.
As for the game itself, it was very principled! You bet, because it was an eastern derby between Altay Ust-Kamenogorsk and Yelimay Semey. Both teams did not want to lose, especially with such support. And it was not only the hosts, the whole sector was occupied by fans of the guests, who specially came to this match. So the heat of the match was very hot.
At halftime, the head coach of the main team of Altay and legend of Kazakhstani football Vahid Yunusovich Masudov gave a short interview to the studio at the edge of the field:
«It is very nice to see so many people at the stadium, I would like to see people also come to the main team and support their players. You can see a great desire of the guys to prove themselves, because it is a derby. But you can see the nervousness of so many spectators, they do not want to fall foul of their family and friends. I think that QJ League is a great tournament, which helps our young players to develop and grow, to go forward! Thank you very much Timur Ruslanovich Turlov for this!», – he noted.
And despite the large number of chances, both teams played confidently in defence. And goalkeepers showed this evening miracles of selflessness, so saving their gates at the cost of injury, could not finish the meeting keeper Altay Altair Tileubekov, but came out instead Nurali Kasymkanov showed the game no worse.
As a result, the final whistle of Sergey Popov recorded a fighting zero draw on the scoreboard, but the audience was still satisfied with the quality of the game itself young talents of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey.
