Matchweek 10 of the Freedom QJ League B has come to a close. Here are the most exciting moments of the week.
Ontustyk – back on top!
Last season's U-17 champions have reclaimed the top spot this season after a dominant victory over another title contender – the KFF Academy.
It was the second meeting between the sides in a row – their previous clash in Talgar ended in a draw. But on home ground, Ontustyk left no chance to their opponent – 4:0. Goals came from Elbek Abdukhakharov (brace), Alihan Ali, and Temirlan Yermek.
The KFF Academy now trails Ontustyk by just one point in the title race.
Epic comeback by Elimai
Khan-Tengri took an early lead against Elimai from Semey – Rauan Sarsenbek scored in the 2nd minute.
Merely Bolatov equalized for the visitors in the 58th minute, but ten minutes later, Sarsenbek completed his brace after an assist from Madi Salimov. Shortly after, Abilai Mamadiyar extended the lead to 3:1 – Salimov provided another assist.
It looked like the game was over, but in the 88th minute Amir Salmenbayev pulled one back, and in stoppage time Dias Suleimenov saved the day for Elimai – 3:3.
Tense battle in Astana
The clash between Zhenis and Okzhetpes was full of twists. In the 33rd minute, Aybar Buriev put the home team ahead, but Ersat Yesym leveled it in the 36th. After the break, Yesym scored again, but the hosts quickly responded.
In the end, Buriev's second goal in the 73rd minute proved decisive – 3:2, and the score held until the final whistle.
