For the first time in their history, Kairat have qualified for the main stage of the Champions League after defeating Scottish side Celtic in a penalty shootout.
This achievement allows the Almaty club to take part in the UEFA Youth League Champions League Path.
Kairat U19 are guaranteed at least six matches at this stage of the tournament. The draw for the stage, which will run from September to December, will take place on Thursday, August 28.
Thus, Kairat vacated their spot in the Domestic Champions Path, handing it over to Ordabasy, the silver medalist of the Freedom QJ League 2024. Now Kazakhstan will be represented in the UEFA Youth League by two teams at once.
Ordabasy’s opponent for the first round will be determined on September 1. The matches are scheduled for September 17 and October 1.
