Freedom QJ League is not just about thrilling sports competitions; it is deeply committed to community engagement. Over the past few years, QJ League has demonstrated how sports can serve as a powerful tool to support people and improve their quality of life. Let’s explore the League’s social initiatives over the past two seasons
Helping the Elderly
As part of the celebration of Elderly Day, QJ League, in collaboration with the Dobryakov Club, visited a social assistance center for senior citizens. League representatives presented gift packages and congratulated the center’s residents. These acts of kindness created a festive atmosphere and reminded elderly individuals that they are remembered and cared for.
Caring for Homeless Animals
Before their match against SuperBol, the Freedom QJ League team visited the StopOtlov dog shelter in Astana. This volunteer project helps stray animals find homes and supports local shelters. Football players brought food and essential supplies, emphasizing the importance of aiding defenseless animals.
Back to School: Supporting Families for the New Academic Year
QJ League and its participants extended support to large families preparing for the new school year. In Astana, together with a local football team, the League provided school supplies, uniforms, and other essentials to the family of Maria Perederey, a mother of seven children. In Karaganda, the family of Alyona Reger received similar support, with Shakhter players and the League gathering everything needed for school and daily life. In every initiative, the players not only offered help but also inspired children to achieve their goals.
Charitable Donations
QJ League actively supports social projects through donations. As part of a campaign launched to aid victims of floods in Kazakhstan, the League donated over 5 million tenge to the Kazakhstan khalkyna fund. These funds were allocated for building homes in affected regions.
Additionally, QJ League donated over 3 million tenge to the Asarume fund, which implements educational programs for children. These projects support low-income families and provide children with opportunities to build a confident future.
Visit to the Assem Orphanage
One of QJ League’s key initiatives is its regular visits to orphanages. In Karaganda, the residents of the Assem orphanage received gifts such as a television, an Xbox gaming console, football gear, and sweets. Together with league ambassador Igor Shatskiy and local team players, the children enjoyed playing football, attending masterclasses, and celebrating in a festive atmosphere.
A year later, League representatives revisited the Assem orphanage, bringing wireless speakers and holiday sweets for New Year celebrations.
Charity Auction and Visit to the Zhanuya Orphanage
At the League’s closing ceremony, a charity auction was held featuring unique sports items such as a signed Lionel Messi jersey, boxing gloves from Angelina Lukas, and more. The proceeds were used to purchase furniture and equipment for the Zhanuya children’s village and to organize events for the children.
Beyond material aid, the children gained a unique experience interacting with professional footballer and league ambassador Roman Asrankulov, participating in a football masterclass with the youth team players of Tobol, and receiving memorable gifts.
QJ League proves that football is not just a sport but also a transformative force that can change lives. Through partnerships with charitable foundations and player-led initiatives, the League brings people together, helps those in need, and inspires young players to do good deeds.
These projects exemplify how the sports community can make the world a better place. QJ League continues to move forward, bringing joy and support to those who need it most.
