The Best Forward of the Freedom QJ League B season has been named: the award goes to Tamirlan Kalymzhanov of Okzhetpes.
Kalymzhanov played 18 matches, scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists. He took 66 shots on goal, 42 of which were on target. He also completed 326 out of 453 passes — a 72% accuracy rate.
Winners of the individual awards — Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, and Best Forward — across all League competitions will each receive 200,000 tenge in prize money from the League’s partner, Freedom Bank.
“The emotions from winning this nomination are very positive. It was unexpected, but extremely pleasant to win. The season went well — I would even say it was the best one for me.
The most memorable moment of this season was my first goal. It gave me huge motivation, and it helped me a lot.
I plan to spend the prize money on my family, of course, and also buy myself new boots. And to the younger players who will debut in the League next year, I want to say: train hard, don’t give up, and show everything you are capable of,” Tamirlan said in his interview.
