Matchweek 14 of the Freedom QJ League B has concluded. Here are the most notable moments of the past week.
Comeback win for Okzhetpes
The Kokshetau side continues its pursuit of the medals. This time they were close to dropping points against Altay but eventually secured all three.
The hero of the match was Timur Tirzhanov. First, he opened the scoring in the 55th minute, and later, after Galym Yernaruly equalized for Altay, Tirzhanov converted a stoppage-time penalty to snatch the win.
With four rounds left to play, Okzhetpes sit third with 27 points – trailing only Ontustik (31) and KFF Academy (29).
Tolendi nets his third poker of the season!
KFF Academy thrashed Elimai 6:0, with all eyes on 14-year-old Anuar Tolendi.
He scored the team’s first four goals before Nikita Lisokhmar (1 goal, 2 assists) and David Zarechny (1+1) sealed the rout.
It’s worth recalling that the young midfielder started the season with Astana 2010. In just six matches of the Freedom QJ League U16 he scored 10 goals, including two poker performances. Moving up to play against older players didn’t faze him – he already has six goals in four games for his new team, with four rounds still to go.
Ontustik keep winning
Meanwhile, Ontustik had no trouble at home against Ulytau – the league leaders cruised to a 3:0 victory.
Zhan Rakhymzhanov scored as early as the 3rd minute, while Alikhan Ali added two more – just before halftime and again in the 75th minute.
Special mention goes to Temirlan Yermek, who provided two assists out of his team’s three goals.
