Matchweek XV of the Freedom QJ League B has come to an end. Here are the most exciting moments from the past week.
Ontustik stays flawless
The clash between Kyzylzhar and Ontustik in Petropavl ended with a narrow away victory. In the 18th minute, Madi Mels converted a penalty to put the hosts ahead, but Shymkent’s side quickly equalized through Temirlan Ermek before halftime.
The decisive strike came in the 60th minute from Ontustik’s forward, Alikhan Ali – his 19th goal of the season and yet another step toward winning the Golden Boot.
With just three matchweeks remaining, Ontustik sit firmly at the top of the table, while Okzhetpes trail them by four points in second place.
KFF Academy in a tough spot
KFF Academy suffered a 4:2 away defeat to Khan-Tengri. The game started with back-and-forth goals: after Ablai Mamadiyar gave the hosts the lead, Anuar Tolendi equalized. Sayan Tashimbetov restored Khan-Tengri’s advantage, only for Argyn Zhumageldi to level it once again.
The score remained even until the 83rd minute, when Rauan Sarsenbek put Khan-Tengri ahead once more. Finally, in the 88th, Timur Khvan sealed the victory.
As a result, KFF Academy are now third in the standings, five points behind Ontustik and just one behind Okzhetpes.
Three clear leaders
Kyzylzhar’s loss to Ontustik seriously complicated their medal hopes. With three matchweeks left, the Petropavl side are six points away from the top three.
That leaves Ontustik, Okzhetpes, and KFF Academy as the main contenders for the title heading into the decisive stage of the season. Each of these three still has a shot at gold – meaning the most exciting part is yet to come.
