Seven unanswered goals despite being a man down

The main event of the matchweek took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk, where Altai hosted Khan-Tengri. The Almaty side won 7-0 – the biggest scoreline of the current campaign so far.

The visitors played most of the match with ten men. By the 13th minute, they were already 2-0 up thanks to goals from Adilzhan Kairat and Zhanadi Zhumabek, but in the 19th minute Asset Rakhat was shown a red card for denying the opposition an obvious goalscoring opportunity. It did not affect Khan-Tengri's performance: the Almaty side scored twice more before the break and added another three goals in the second half.

Visiting captain Adilzhan Kairat completed a hat-trick (1st, 29th and 60th minutes). Daniyal Murat, who came on after the break, scored twice, while Timur Hwan also found the net alongside Zhumabek.

The victory extended Khan-Tengri's winning streak to five matches, and they remain just one point behind Zhenis – 33 points to 34. For Altai, it was their 11th defeat of the season.

Zhenis hold on to top spot

At Astana Arena, Zhenis defeated Atyrau 4-0 to prevent their Khan-Tengri pursuers from moving ahead of them.

The key moment of the match came in the 31st minute, when visiting defender Mukhammad Makhmedin received his second yellow card, leaving Atyrau with ten men.

Zhannur Maltykbay opened the scoring late in the first half, and the capital side took full control after the break. Amirkhan Abai scored twice (59th and 77th minutes), with Nurabi Nurlan finding the net in between. Abai took his tally to nine goals in 10 matches.

Atyrau remain seventh with 16 points.

Jaiyq keep another clean sheet

Despite dropping points in Matchweek 14, the team from Uralsk remain in the title race. In Shymkent, Jaiyq defeated Ontustyk 1-0. Rami Zhaksylyk scored the only goal in the 64th minute.

Jaiyq sit third with 31 points and still boast the best defensive record in the competition, having conceded just 13 goals in 15 matchweeks.

However, the Uralsk side will be without their top scorer Ilyas Bekmukhanov in their next match: the forward picked up his fourth yellow card in Shymkent and will miss the game against Kyzylzhar.

Ontustyk, meanwhile, are now winless in five consecutive matchweeks – three defeats and two draws. The two-time Freedom QJ League B champions sit sixth with 18 points.

Two braces for Okzhetpes

In Kokshetau, Okzhetpes defeated Yelimay 4-2.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Alinur Karpishanov, but Nuraly Sabyrzhan struck twice past Daniil Malyshev before the break.

Vadim Saibel converted a penalty in the 60th minute and appeared to bring the visitors back into the game, but then Arsen Arapov had his say – the forward also completed a brace with goals in the 71st and 80th minutes, putting the result beyond doubt.

Arapov now has nine goals this season, while Sabyrzhan moved clear at the top of the competition's assist chart with six. In addition to scoring twice, he also provided the assist for Arsen's first goal.

Okzhetpes remain fourth with 26 points, three ahead of Zhetysu. Yelimay (15) stay eighth.

Dramatic finish in Petropavl

Zhetysu snatched an away victory over Kyzylzhar despite playing with ten men.

Visiting captain Amanesen Korganbay opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, but Yegor Lavrenko equalised from the penalty spot in the 56th. Shortly before that, Zhetysu had been reduced to ten men after Yেমirkhan Kolbayev was sent off.

Nevertheless, it was the visitors who celebrated the win. Ablai Kaldar came onto the pitch in the 89th minute and, despite having very little time, scored the winning goal.

Added time was tense: following a scuffle, the referee showed four cards at once, two of them red. Korganbay and Kyzylzhar goalkeeper Ayan Sembayev were both sent off, forcing the hosts to make an emergency goalkeeper substitution.

Zhetysu sit fifth with 23 points. Kyzylzhar remain ninth and still have the weakest attack in the league, with just 12 goals scored in 15 matchweeks.
