The winner of the Eduard Son Award, presented to the league’s top forward of the season, has been announced.
Following the results of the 2025 season, the individual prize went to Kairat striker Abylay Toleukhan, who received the award at the annual QJL Awards ceremony.
Toleukhan scored 16 goals and provided 9 assists in 14 league matches. Among his standout performances were games against Ordabasy (Round 7 — hat-trick), Atyrau (Round 3 — 2+1 in 34 minutes), Aktobe (Round 10 — three assists), and Shakhter (Round 15 — 2+1).
A year earlier, he had already won two tournaments with Kairat — the U18 and U17 divisions.
For reference, in 2023 the award for the best forward went to Ramazan Bagdat of Kairat, and in the following season the Eduard Son Award was presented to Nurdaulet Orynbasar (Taraz).
