Freedom QJ League, together with the Karaganda Regional Football Association (QOFA), FC Shakhtyor and UEL Team, delivered New Year gifts to participants of the previously held ALGA! x Phygital Fest festival.

Alongside representatives of the partner organizations, students from Special Boarding Schools No. 4 and No. 6, as well as children from the Tansholpan and Asem orphanages, were visited by Shakhtyor captain Igor Shatskiy and well-known esports athlete Arman Pirmanov.

Children from each institution received PS5 gaming consoles. In addition, during the meeting with their idols, the kids enjoyed hot pizza provided by QOFA’s partner, Dodo Pizza.

The festival and New Year gifts are only part of a long-term social cooperation initiative. Students from boarding schools and orphanages will also be included in a talent identification and development program in the phygital direction. This will allow them to try themselves both on the football pitch and in esports.

During the winter period, the children will take part in professional EA FC 26 training sessions together with UEL Team. With the arrival of summer, Shakhtyor coaches will take charge of the youngsters’ football training.

It should be recalled that during the QJL Awards ceremony held in November, a charity auction took place, featuring a jersey of Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé as one of the lots. The winner was Kairat Boranbayev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FC Kairat, whose winning bid amounted to 3 million tenge. The funds were used to organize the festival and purchase New Year gifts.

A year earlier, Freedom QJ League also held a charity auction, with the proceeds directed to support the Zhanuya orphanage in Kostanay. In addition, last year the League, together with fans, raised more than 5.5 million tenge for those affected by floods and donated all ticket revenue from the Round 6 match between Caspiy and Kairat to a charitable foundation.
