The inclusive football festival ALGA! x Phygital Kids Fest took place in Karaganda, organized by Freedom QJ League in close cooperation with the Karaganda Regional Football Association (QOFA).
The festival was held in the increasingly popular phygital format, where the physical and digital worlds merge, providing participants with a diverse, unique, and truly memorable experience.
The event was divided into two parts. The first part brought together students from schools participating in the ALGA! project implemented under the auspices of QOFA, as well as their parents. In the second half of the day, children from orphanages in Karaganda, including children with special needs, joined the festival. In total, more than 150 children took part in the event.
A wide range of activities was organized across three zones — sports, creative, and esports — ensuring that every participant could find something they truly enjoyed.
Among the many activities, children were able to take part in original games such as head football, teqball, and much more. A special highlight was the opportunity to hold a football training session together with coaches from FC Shakhter Karaganda, as well as to participate in a full-scale esports tournament organized jointly with the Karaganda Regional Esports Federation and the League’s partner, Mastercard.
In addition, participants enjoyed delicious pizza provided by event partner Dodo Pizza and captured joyful moments in a photo booth. At the end of the day, all festival participants received gifts, while well-known blogger and esports athlete Arman Pirmanov presented awards to the winners of the esports tournament.
It is worth recalling that during the QJL Awards ceremony held in November, a charity auction was organized, with a jersey of Kylian Mbappé, forward of Real Madrid, offered as a lot. The auction was won by Kairat Boranbayev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FC Kairat, with a winning bid of 3 million tenge. The funds were used to organize the festival and purchase New Year’s gifts for children from orphanages.
A year earlier, Freedom QJ League also held a charity auction, with the proceeds directed to support the Zhanuya orphanage in Kostanay. Additionally, last year the League, together with fans, raised more than 5.5 million tenge to help victims of floods and donated all ticket revenue from the Matchweek VI match between Caspiy and Kairat to one of the charitable foundations.
