The Best Goalkeeper of the Freedom QJ League B season has been named: the award goes to Alikhan Temirkhan of Yelimay.
Temirkhan appeared in 15 matches, making 76 saves — an average of five saves per game. He also kept a clean sheet in the home match of Week 4 against the KFF Academy, helping Yelimay secure a crucial 1:0 victory.
Winners of the individual awards — Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, and Best Forward — across all League tournaments will each receive 200,000 tenge in prize money from the League’s partner, Freedom Bank.
“This is a very important moment for me. I feel great joy and deep gratitude to everyone who has been by my side. Winning this nomination shows that my work is visible and that I’m moving in the right direction. It motivates me a lot to keep growing.
The season wasn’t easy — at times it was even tough — but it was very rich and useful. I made a big step forward, rethought many things and understood what I need to work on next.
Next season I want to be even stronger — add stability, improve key elements of my game and help the team achieve higher results.
The most memorable moment? Probably the match against Zhenis, where we managed to turn the game around. In that match I felt how strong we can be when we completely trust each other and give everything until the final whistle.
I want to give part of the prize money to my parents. They invested everything in me — their time, strength, support and belief. It’s important for me to thank them, even a little, for always being there, especially in the toughest moments.
To the younger players, I want to say: don’t be afraid of responsibility, and don’t freeze because of emotions. A debut always comes with nerves, but remember — you’re here for a reason. Keep working,” Alikhan said in the interview.
