The best forward of the past Freedom QJ League U16 season was recognized as Alizhan Zaru of FC Kairat.
He scored 13 goals and provided 3 assists in 16 matches. In total, he attempted 42 shots, 22 of which were on target. Alizhan delivered an especially strong finish to the season, scoring three braces in the final three matchweeks.
As part of the League's partnership with Freedom Bank, the winners of the individual awards — “Most Valuable Player”, “Best Goalkeeper”, “Best Defender”, “Best Midfielder”, and “Best Forward” — will each receive 200,000 tenge.
“I’m very happy to win this nomination. This season was difficult for us and for me personally, but it was successful.
For next season, I’m setting the highest goals. I want to show myself from the best side. What surprised me this year is how much we improved in terms of media presence.
The most memorable moment for me was the match against Atyrau — we became early champions, and I scored two goals.
I’d like to give part of the prize money to my parents and spend the rest on myself.
I wish good luck to the newcomers of the League. Never give up, and don’t forget to improve yourselves in the media sphere as well,” he said in his interview.
