Bauyrzhan Sagyndyk, Head of the League’s Sports and Analytics Unit, is currently completing an internship at Qarabag Football Club.
Qarabag are 12-time champions of Azerbaijan and eight-time winners of the national cup. The club regularly competes in European competitions and is spending the current season in the UEFA Champions League, having virtually secured a place in the playoffs with one round remaining in the league phase.
“This internship is part of my Pro License education and has become a truly valuable and unique experience. Qarabag is a club with a special history and a well-structured system that has been developed by head coach Gurban Gurbanov for the past 18 years.
Over this period, a model has been created that allows the club to consistently achieve results both domestically and on the international stage. What impressed me most is that all these achievements are built on extensive, systematic work by the coaching staff with the players, where the priority is player development and a bold, aggressive style of play,” Bauyrzhan Abaevich shared.
It should also be noted that Bauyrzhan Sagyndyk is the senior coach of Kazakhstan’s U17 national team. Under his leadership, the team advanced to the elite round of qualification for Euro 2026.
