The Best Midfielder of the Freedom QJ League B season has been named: the award goes to David Zarechny of the KFF Academy.
Across 15 matches, Zarechny recorded 7 goals and 6 assists. The 15-year-old also displayed excellent passing accuracy, completing 290 out of 375 passes (77%).
Winners of the individual awards — Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, and Best Forward — in all League tournaments will each receive 200,000 tenge in prize money from the League’s partner, Freedom Bank.
“The emotions from winning this nomination are wonderful. I’m really happy that my work throughout the year was noticed. It motivates me a lot to become even better next season.
For me personally, the season went well, aside from my injury. I believe I grew as a footballer this year and gained new emotions and experience that will help me next season.
The most memorable moment? Our first win against Altay. Nobody believed in us then, but we immediately showed that we could compete with older players. And of course, I can’t forget the closing ceremony — it was something incredible. As for the prize money, I’d like to invest it in myself and my development.
My message to the younger players? The main thing is not to worry, trust your abilities and your team, and be ready for challenges. Wishing you good luck and a season without injuries!”, David said in his interview.
