Kazakhstani football has a rich history. Even the most famous players started as young academy prospects, taking their first steps from youth competitions into major tournaments.

Today, we present to you the first part of a historical selection: a look back at the youngest debutants and goal scorers in the history of KPL-2025 clubs.

Some of these records belong to young footballers who participated in the Freedom QJ League. Others are still waiting to be rewritten — hopefully, this will serve as extra motivation for the next generation of players.

Aktobe

Youngest debutant: Timur Agdavletov – 15 years, 6 months, 28 days

Youngest goal scorer: Yuri Logvinenko – 17 years, 10 months, 6 days

Agdavletov set the Red-and-Whites' record in May 2001, starting in the second leg of the Kazakhstan Cup match against Atyrau.

Future Aktobe captain Yuri Logvinenko scored his first goal for the club in the 8th round of the KPL-2006. His strike in the 18th minute was the first of five unanswered goals netted against Kaisar.

Astana

Youngest debutant: Madi Zhakipbayev – 15 years, 11 months, 20 days

Youngest goal scorer: Abzal Beysebekov – 16 years, 5 months, 10 days

Zhakipbayev made his debut in the first round of KPL-2016, coming on as a substitute for Patrick Twumasi in stoppage time of the second half.

Beysebekov scored his first goal for Astana (then still Lokomotiv) in May 2009. His team lost to Shakhter, but the future captain’s strike helped the hosts avoid a goalless defeat.

Atyrau

Youngest debutant: Denis Rodionov – 15 years, 9 months, 17 days

Youngest goal scorer: Denis Rodionov – 17 years, 10 months, 15 days

The current sporting director of the Oilers holds a truly rare achievement. Denis Rodionov became the youngest player in the history of the club’s first team in the same Kazakhstan Cup 2001 match where Timur Agdavletov debuted for Aktobe. He entered the game in the closing minutes, replacing Vitaliy Kitsak — his team, by the way, won 2-0.

Two years later, Rodionov scored against Shakhter in the 11th round of the KPL. Atyrau won 3-2, making his goal not only historic but also crucial in the standings. These records have stood for over two decades.

Yelimay

Youngest debutant: Dmitry Kolbuntsov – 15 years, 11 months, 21 days

Youngest goal scorer: Denis Yeremin – 17 years, 4 months, 15 days

Kolbuntsov played his first full match for Spartak—the former name of the Semipalatinsk club — in 2012 during the first-round Kazakhstan Cup match against Shakhter. Notably, in the previous season, Dmitry Kolbuntsov was part of the Freedom QJ League, coaching goalkeepers for Yelimay U-17.

Yeremin set the club's record in the 33rd round of the Super League 2002, with Esil-Bogatyr from Petropavl (now Kyzylzhar) on the receiving end. Coming on in the 26th minute of a home match, Denis scored in the 66th — and his goal turned out to be the match-winner.

Zhenis

Youngest debutant: Raul Allahverdiyev – 15 years, 6 months, 8 days

Youngest goal scorer: Raul Allahverdiyev – 15 years, 9 months, 19 days

Allahverdiyev is another debutant who managed to rewrite both of the club’s historical records. This happened in 2022.

Coming on in stoppage time of the second preliminary round match of the Kazakhstan Cup, Raul surpassed the previous record set by 16-year-old Oleg Kazmirchuk back in 1985. Later, by scoring against Shakhter in the 13th round of the First League, the youngster claimed his place in club history, overtaking 17-year-old Zhambyl Kukeeyev — though Kukeeyev had scored in the KPL back in 2006.

Zhetisu

Youngest debutant: Daniyar Turlybayev – 16 years, 3 months, 26 days

Youngest goal scorer: David Yessimbekov – 17 years, 9 months, 8 days

Daniyar Turlybayev made his debut in the 65th minute of the 28th round match of KPL-2000, replacing Stanislav Gudzikevich.

Yesimbekov was among the scorers for Zhetysu in their match against Baikonur in the 8th round of the First League 2022. David netted his debut goal for the club, being just under a month younger than Kuandyk Tulegenov, who had found the net against Shymkent's Zhiger in the KPL 22 years earlier.

Kairat

Youngest debutants: Abzal Beysebekov and Dastan Satpayev – 15 years, 9 months, 14 days

Youngest goal scorer: Dastan Satpayev – 16 years, 6 months, 18 days

An incredible coincidence: in the history of the Almaty club, two players share the same record for the youngest debut in the first team.

Beysebekov made his debut in September 2008, replacing Zakhar Korobov in stoppage time of the 23rd round KPL match against Ekibastuz’s Energetik. Interestingly, just a year later, Abzal moved to Lokomotiv (future Astana) and held the title of the youngest debutant in both capital clubs for seven years — until Madi Zhakipbayev took the field.

Satpayev had more time on the pitch in his debut match. He came on in the 80th minute of the League Cup 2024 game against Akzhaiyk, replacing Elder Santana. Dos's team secured a dominant 9-0 victory.

By scoring against Astana in the opening round of KPL-2025, the 2024 Freedom QJ League MVP broke Seitzhan Baishakov’s record, which had stood since 1967 — nearly 58 years! Interestingly, Beiyebekov was in the squad for that match with the capital club but did not make an appearance on the field.
