For the first time in its history, the past season of the Freedom QJ League involved not only teams in competition, but also the communication departments of football centers through the Media & Marketing Championship.
The main goal of the project is to motivate specialists toward systematic, creative, and high-quality work, as such an approach significantly increases public awareness of individual clubs and their youth players, as well as the League as a whole.
The championship ran from April to October and was divided into two tracks: media and marketing. Participants earned points for completing various tasks, ranging from content projects and match branding to fan engagement, audience growth analysis, and engagement metrics.
The season was split into six equal stages, with an interim ranking formed after each stage. This format helped maintain interest in the championship throughout the entire year.
Within the media track, clubs published more than 13,000 posts and stories on Instagram, over 500 videos on TikTok, and more than 200 news articles on their official websites. In addition, the achievements of regional teams in the League were covered by mass media, resulting in around 70 publications.
In terms of marketing, participating Freedom QJ League clubs successfully attracted and worked productively with numerous major and local partners throughout the championship.
Many football centers also stood out through active participation in League-led media campaigns, promotions, and challenges, as well as through social initiatives, youth engagement projects, and a significant increase in fan attendance at matches.
The best club in the marketing category was Taraz (1,468 points), followed by Ordabasy (1,163 points) and Tobol (820 points). At the QJL Awards ceremony, the club from southern Kazakhstan was honored with the Seyilda Baishakov Award.
The winners of the media track and recipients of the Dias Omarov Award were the specialists of the Atyrau football center (2,809 points). Second and third places were taken by Ordabasy (2,790 points) and Ontustik (2,377 points), respectively.
Special recognition should be given to the overall points leader. Ordabasy demonstrated consistently high-quality work in both tracks. During the past season, the club attracted several new partners to work with its youth teams and fully cooperated with the League in all joint initiatives, including hosting a UEFA Youth League match.
In the first two seasons of the League, the winners in the Best Media Department and Best Marketing Department categories were determined by voting.
The championship format not only motivates participants to develop these areas, but also serves as a more objective metric for evaluating results achieved over the course of an entire season. Therefore, this initiative will be continued in the upcoming season.
It is worth recalling that previous recipients of the Seyilda Baishakov Award were Taraz and Tobol, while the Dias Omarov Award was awarded to the media departments of Aksu and Astana.
