Matchweek 21 of the Freedom QJ League is in the books. We look back at the main storylines from the younger age categories of League A.

Freedom QJ League U-15

Long-Awaited Victory for Taraz

Caspiy U-15 suffered a home defeat to their counterparts from Taraz in Aktau, ending their hopes of climbing off the bottom of the standings. Madiyar Serikbay, Bekasyl Ryskadyr and Nariman Nurtaza scored for the visitors, while Abzal Sagiyev netted the hosts' only goal.

The victory ended Taraz's ten-match winless run. With 18 points, they sit ninth in the standings and are now mathematically guaranteed to finish in that position, with no chance of moving either up or down.

A Hat-Trick That Could Have Been Four

Zhas Kyran claimed an impressive 5-2 victory over Tobyl, who had already secured the silver medals.

Striker Zharas Yerik scored three goals, marking the first time this season that Almaty's leading scorer has netted a hat-trick in a single match. He could have added a fourth, but goalkeeper Maksim Sukhovertkov denied him from the penalty spot in the 31st minute.

Despite the victory, Zhas Kyran, who have 33 points, are mathematically out of the medal race. The battle for bronze continues between Irtysh (37 points) and Aktobe (36).

Ishchenko Hat-Trick Keeps Bronze Medal Race Alive

Aktobe had the chance to secure the bronze medals this Matchweek. All they needed was to avoid defeat away to Atletico. The Red and Whites looked well on course to achieve that goal when Muslim Alibek put them ahead in the fourth minute.

However, Miron Ishchenko turned the match on its head in the second half. The 14-year-old midfielder scored a hat-trick in just 16 minutes, completing a remarkable turnaround and sealing a 3-1 victory for the hosts.

Aktobe remain third in the standings, but their lead over fourth-placed Atletico, now their closest challengers, has been reduced to just two points. Ordabasy, who trail the Red and Whites by three points, also retain a mathematical chance of claiming bronze.

Yerik Yermagambetov's side therefore cannot afford any slip-ups in their upcoming match against Kaisar.

Kairat Take Control of the Title Race

The decisive clash of the U-17 title race ended with a convincing away victory for Kairat in Karaganda. The Almaty side defeated Shakhter, who had led the championship standings heading into Matchweek 21.

Tamerlan Sarsymbayev scored twice to draw level with Aktobe's Arsen Baizhanov in the top scorers' race, with both players now on 14 goals. Islam Rashidov found the net between Sarsymbayev's two strikes, while Shakhter forward Timur Kazantsev converted a late penalty. The final score was 3-1 to the visitors.

The Yellow and Blacks now hold a one-point advantage over the Miners heading into the final Matchweek. Kairat will face Taraz, while Shakhter take on Zhas Kyran.

Aktobe Capitalise on Ordabasy's Slip-Up

With just one Matchweek remaining, the top three have undergone another change. Aktobe have emerged as the favourites to claim the bronze medals.

Rinat Zhiembekov's side defeated KFF Academy 4-1, with Alinur Kenzhin scoring twice. The brace took his season tally to 13 goals, putting him just one behind teammate Arsen Baizhanov and Kairat's Tamerlan Sarsymbayev heading into the final round.

As a result, the Red and Whites moved one point ahead of Ordabasy, who dropped points away to Irtysh. The match in Pavlodar ended 1-1, with both goals coming in quick succession late in the game, in the 77th and 81st minutes.

Aktobe now travel to face bottom-placed Kaisar, while Ordabasy host Astana in their final fixture.
