The series of three-day seminars for coaches, organized by the League’s Sports and Analytics Unit, is nearing its conclusion.

As a reminder, the second seminar took place from April 7 to 9 in Shymkent, with specialists from the football centers of Taraz, Ontustik, Ordabasy, Kaisar, Atyrau, Caspiy, and Aktobe taking part.

As in Astana, the first day featured a presentation of the analytical report on the previous season, focusing on the effectiveness of building and developing attacks from a team’s own goal area. The speaker was the League’s analytics expert, Dmitriy Vasiliev.

The coaches then received video clips of in-game situations involving their teams. Working in groups, they were tasked with describing individual and group player actions, assessing their strengths and weaknesses. Based on this analysis, they were then required to develop a detailed training session plan.

Next, Arsen Inkarbekov introduced the specialists to the additional features of the FF Manager digital platform for planning training sessions.

On the second day, the coaches conducted training sessions on assigned topics. After each session, they presented a brief analysis and answered questions from the other seminar participants.

Finally, on the third day, each group presented a detailed analysis of their training session, focusing on the effectiveness of the chosen methods and tools, their coaching approach, and timely adjustments made during the session.

Analytics expert Evgeniy Yarovenko summarized the training sessions and provided clear recommendations for the coaches. He emphasized the importance of detailed planning, creating opportunities for players to make decisions, and using “freeze frames” to explain the quality of technical and tactical execution.

At the conclusion of the seminar, analytics expert Igor Shpanyora presented an example of identifying a vertical playing strategy as a conscious tactical choice by a team. This was followed by an interactive breakdown of a video episode from one of the teams’ matches, including a detailed analysis of the players’ actions.

The final seminar in the series is taking place in Almaty from April 10 to 12. It brings together coaches from the systems of Kairat, Zhas Kyran, Khan-Tengri, Zhetisu, Ulytau, Yelimay, Altay, as well as the Kazakhstan U16 national team.
