The winner of the Georgiy Khutidi Award, presented to the league’s top coach of the season, has been announced.
Following the results of the 2025 season, the individual prize went to Igor Soloshenko, who received the award at the annual QJL Awards ceremony.
Under Soloshenko’s leadership, the Shakhter team — composed of players born in 2009 — finished third in the U17 tournament, with a record of 13 wins, four draws, and five defeats.
In addition, he led the QJL All Star coaching staff in the friendly match against Atlético Madrid’s youth team. The match ended in a draw in regular time, with the visitors winning in the penalty shootout.
For reference, in 2023 the award for the best coach went to Maksim Gabunov of Aktobe, and in the following season the Georgiy Khutidi Award was presented to Ruslanzhan Raimbakiev (Kairat).
