The Freedom QJ League ambassador team has been joined by yet another prominent representative.

Islam Chesnokov, a native of Ust-Kamenogorsk and a midfielder for Scottish side Heart of Midlothian and the Kazakhstan national team, will help promote the League’s values in the public sphere.

The 26-year-old Islam is a product of the Altai football academy, making his debut for the senior team in 2018. In 2021, he signed a contract with Belshina (Bobruisk, Belarus), and in 2023, he returned to Kazakhstan, where he became a two-time Kazakhstan Cup winner with FC Tobol Kostanay (2023, 2025). Furthermore, his achievements include the national Super Cup (2024) and bronze medals in the domestic championship (2025).

In January of this year, Chesnokov joined Heart of Midlothian, where he secured a silver medal in the Scottish Premiership.

"I am delighted to become an ambassador for the Freedom QJ League. I want to express my gratitude and wish the League nothing but a bright future.

We all see how much the League contributes to our football. I hope that in the near future, even more young stars will emerge to bring glory to Kazakhstani football," Islam Chesnokov noted during his visit to the Freedom QJ League office.
