Kazakhstan U-17 finish fourth at the Development Cup

The Kazakhstan U-17 national team played their final match at the international Development Cup tournament held in Minsk, Belarus.

In the third-place play-off, the Kazakh side suffered a narrow 2–3 defeat against Uzbekistan. Goals for Bauyrzhan Sagyndyk’s team were scored by Shakhter players Rassul Akimov and Meyirlan Baltabayev.

Earlier, Kazakhstan U-17 secured a place in the elite round of the UEFA Euro 2026 qualifiers, where they will compete for a spot at the continental tournament against Czech Republic, Austria and Denmark.
