By decision of the KFF Refereeing Committee, a dedicated subcommittee has been established to oversee the development and improvement of refereeing standards in Freedom QJ League matches.

The subcommittee’s responsibilities will include the development of refereeing within Freedom QJ League, training of referees officiating league matches, and the selection of Freedom QJ League referees for potential promotion to the Second League. In addition, the subcommittee will review and select referees recommended by regional refereeing committees to officiate Freedom QJ League matches.

Special attention will be paid to weekly analysis of matches and key game incidents, followed by recommendations from instructors. The subcommittee will also introduce and demonstrate the standards applied to national-level referees. Its scope of work will include cooperation with inspectors and close interaction with regional refereeing committees.

The subcommittee will be headed by Furkat Atazhanov, a former FIFA and UEFA referee with experience officiating UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches.

The subcommittee will also include current Premier League inspector Askhat Abdanbayev, who from 2026 will work as a national-level technical instructor.

The establishment of the subcommittee is aimed at building a systematic approach to the preparation and development of the Freedom QJ League refereeing corps, as well as improving the overall quality of officiating at youth and development levels.
