Matchweek 8 of Freedom QJ League B has come to a close. Here's a look at the most exciting moments of the past week.

Ontustik snatches a draw in Semey

Yelimay was on track to claim their third win of the season — Yegor Kulikov gave them the lead in the 61st minute at home against Ontustik. However, deep into stoppage time, Alihan Ali found the net past his namesake, Alihan Temirkhan, to level the score.

Thanks to this goal, Alihan Ali became the sole top scorer of the league with 10 goals in eight matches. He also leads the goal+assist chart with three assists to his name.

KFF Academy stays solid

This was KFF Academy’s first match without Stuart Hall, who recently left his position — but the change didn’t stop them from securing a confident away win over Zhetysu. Amirhan Maratov, Aibyn Dauletuly, and Platon Shipitsin each scored, while the hosts were unable to respond.

KFF Academy remains at the top of the standings — Ontustik trails by two points, and the two title contenders will finally face off in the next round.

Double sending-off for Khan-Tengri

The clash in Almaty turned out to be a tough battle. Khan-Tengri opened the scoring against Okzhetpes in the 19th minute, with Abilai Mamadiyar on target. But holding on to the lead proved difficult — Yersat Yesym equalized in the 55th, and Rauan Sarsenbek was sent off after receiving a second yellow.

In the 81st minute, Madi Salimov also left the pitch with a red card, and the nine-man squad couldn’t hold on — Dmitry Kolesnichenko scored the winner for Okzhetpes in the dying minutes.
