We continue introducing the individual awards presented by the League at the end of each season.
As a reminder, each award is named after a prominent figure in Kazakhstani football. The award for the top scorer of the flagship tournament bears the name of Evstafiy Pekhlevanidi.
Evstafiy Pekhlevanidi – Soviet footballer, Master of Sport of the USSR.
He began his career at Metallurg Shymkent in 1977. In 1979, he scored 28 goals for the team, and the following season he moved to Kairat, where he played from 1980 to 1989. Kairat's top scorer in the Soviet Top League, "Pekha" netted 94 goals in 273 matches over his 10 years at the Almaty club.
