Matches of the second week of the Kazakhstan Premier League took place. In almost every game, players who previously featured in the Freedom QJ League appeared on the pitch.

Satpayev scores against Aktobe, Laturnus makes his KPL debut

Kairat narrowly defeated Aktobe at home. The match was highly competitive, as is often the case in such principled encounters.

The decisive moment came from 17-year-old Dastan Satpayev. The Freedom QJ League 2024 MVP entered the pitch in the 64th minute and scored the winning goal in the 76th. Notably, this marks the third consecutive match in which he scored the winner against Aktobe.

This game was also significant for another former QJ League player – 17-year-old Aktobe academy graduate Vitaliy Laturnus made his KPL debut. A participant of the QJL All Star match against Atlético Madrid, he came on in the 86th minute, replacing Nikita Korzun.

Zhassulan Amir leads Ordabasy to victory over Zhenis

Ordabasy defeated Zhenis 2–0 away from home. A key role in the win was played by 19-year-old midfielder Zhassulan Amir.

Having previously made 42 appearances in the QJ League, Amir came on only in the second half. However, he quickly made an impact by assisting Sultanbek Astanov and later scoring himself against Maxim Plotnikov.

It is worth noting that Amir has already played 17 matches for Ordabasy’s senior team, and this goal against Zhenis was his first for the club.

Aliakbar continues to guard Altay’s goal

Altay goalkeeper Abulkhair Aliakbar, who made an emergency debut last week, continues to replace the injured Ivan Konovalov. This week, his team drew 1–1 with Yelimay.

Although he did not keep a clean sheet, Aliakbar made five saves – a solid performance for a 19-year-old, especially in a draw.

Previously, Aliakbar played in the inaugural Freedom QJ League season for Kaisar and Zhas Kyran. Last year, he competed in the First League and contributed to Altay’s promotion.

Abrayev starts again for Astana

Maksat Abrayev impressed in his KPL debut last week. The 18-year-old Astana academy graduate and QJL Awards “Performance of the Year” winner scored and contributed to multiple goals.

This time, Astana drew 0–0 with Kaisar in Kyzylorda. Abrayev once again started the match, played 85 minutes, registered three shots, and completed 25 passes.

Additionally, Tamerlan Agimanov, who played for Aksu in the first QJ League season, featured in the match between Irtysh and Atyrau. Zhansultan Mukhametkhanov, a former Zhas Kyran player, played 74 minutes for Okzhetpes against Caspiy.

Finally, in the match between Ulytau and Kyzylzhar, former Kairat player Gleb Valgushev came on late for the visitors – he had already provided an assist in the previous week.
