Talents in the Spotlight of all World: How Freedom QJ League Helps Scouts Find Promising Footballers

Main image

One of the key missions of Freedom QJ League is to ensure that young players get noticed not only within Kazakhstani football but also in other championships. This is crucial, as it provides footballers with more opportunities, allowing them to choose the most favorable option for developing their careers

Many clubs focus on long-term prospects in their transfer strategies and specifically seek out young players, making this age the most suitable for a potential move to a foreign championship. Here’s how the league helps scouts from around the world discover talents in the country.

First and foremost, QJ League sets a high standard for broadcasts: all matches are recorded with at least six cameras. This allows scouts to watch every game featuring a player of interest both live and on-demand, creating ideal conditions for compiling highlight reels of technical and tactical actions.

Each player has their own profile page on the league's website, where detailed information is available. The website is integrated with Wyscout, tracking not only goals, assists, and cards but also advanced metrics such as the percentage of duels won, successful passes, interceptions, tackles, and ball recoveries. QJ League is also featured on Transfermarkt, providing additional opportunities for analysis – for instance, identifying which young players perform best when coming off the bench.

It is important to note that youth football differs significantly from professional football. This applies not only to the training process but also to indirect factors – such as the sudden transition from reserve fields to noisy stadiums filled with thousands of spectators.

The conditions in which QJ League participants play are as close as possible to professional competitions and, in some aspects, may even surpass them. Teams prepare for matches with full training cycles, and the tournament schedule consists of both home and away games – just like in senior leagues. Additionally, the league’s most exciting moments are covered extensively on social media, helping young players get accustomed to popularity even in their teenage years.

This ensures that scouts can be confident a young player will successfully adapt to professional football in the future, rather than struggling with the transition due to a sudden change in training formats or the overwhelming challenge of newfound fame.

The sports analytics unit of QJ League is constantly working to help teams improve. Under the league's umbrella, seminars are held where coaches share their experiences in developing young footballers and gain new insights, which they later integrate into their work. Additionally, the FF MANAGER digital platform has been developed, significantly optimizing the training process and making player preparation even more effective.

According to Ruslanzhan Raimbakiyev, head coach of Kairat U18, in an interview with Metaratings, QJ League has significantly increased competition in youth football. Previously, Almaty’s team could secure big victories while rotating their squad, but under the league’s development-friendly conditions, any team can now take points from another. The high level of competition in the championship pushes every player to improve daily – and these efforts do not go unnoticed.

A reminder that the third season of QJ League kicks off this April! Fans will once again see their favorite players on the field while also discovering new rising stars. In 2025, the league will feature footballers born in 2008, 2009, and 2010, promising another exciting season of competition.
