The squads of the Kazakhstan Premier League clubs for the 2025 season have been announced. The lists include several players with experience competing in the Freedom QJ League.
We invite you to check out the first part of our selection of young players who may become standout performers in the senior season this year.
Ordabasy
The Shymkent-based club's roster includes goalkeeper Aidos Kemaladin, defender Zhassulan Amir, and forward Bagdaulet Nuraly.
Kemaladin played two matches in the 2023 Freedom QJ League while representing Ontustik. In one of those games — against his current club — he managed to keep a clean sheet. However, he spent most of the season in the First League, where he played 21 matches and conceded 48 goals.
Zhassulan Amir played both seasons in the league, recording 42 matches for Ordabasy, scoring 6 goals, and providing 4 assists. He also won 612 duels out of 1,037, made 277 interceptions, and registered 480 tackles and recoveries. Notably, he has yet to make his debut in senior football.
Bagdaulet Nuraly became one of the standout stars of the past season. He first appeared in the Freedom QJ League in 2023, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists in 7 matches. However, his true breakthrough came the following year when he netted 22 goals in 22 matches, along with 6 assists. He was named Player of the Week five times, earned a spot in the League's all-star squad for the match against Crvena Zvezda, and finished the season as the top scorer.
Aktobe
The Red and Whites have included goalkeeper Sayatkhan Kussainov and midfielder Ayan Baidavletov in their squad for the season.
Kussainov played 31 matches over two seasons in the Freedom QJ League, conceding 41 goals and making 135 saves. He kept 11 clean sheets and was named Goalkeeper of the Season in 2023, also taking part in the match against Crvena Zvezda. Sayatkhan’s achievements include two Player of the Week awards and the Freedom Mobile Save of the Month award for October last year. In addition, he played 11 matches in the 2024 First League.
Baidavletov played 15 matches in the 2023 season, scoring 1 goal and providing 5 assists. He was also selected for the League's all-star squad for the match against the SuperBol national team. However, Ayan saw significantly more action in the First League, where he played 37 matches over the past two seasons, scoring 4 goals and registering 1 assist.
