The start of the new League season, including the launch of the U-15 competition, is set to bring new records — including age-related ones. Here’s a look at which players registered in League A are among the youngest this year.
Flagship tournament
The U-18 tournament squads include nine players born in 2011. Eight of them represent the KFF Academy: Zeynulla Abibulla, Fail Zulyarov, Zhanseyit Abuzhussip, Mansur Akylbek, Zhangir Serik, Dinur Kabyl, Nurdaulyet Yesture, and Kirill Samukov. Also on the list is Caspiy forward Serzhan Dzhanmurad.
None of these players featured in the opening matches of the flagship tournament — however, the season has only just begun. It is worth noting that some of them played in the first week for U-17 teams.
Freedom QJ League U-17
There are 34 players born in 2011 registered across U-17 teams, and many of them received playing time in the opening week. However, none have recorded goal contributions so far.
Freedom QJ League U-16
The U-16 tournament features 25 players born in 2012, with the majority coming from Atlético’s Kazakhstan academy.
Three players from the Spanish franchise have already opened their scoring accounts. Zhannur Kydyrbek, Rassul Samayev, and Miron Ischenko secured a win over Zhas Kyran. Ischenko stood out with two goal contributions, including an assist for Samayev.
Freedom QJ League U-15
The youngest player registered for the League’s first-ever U-15 tournament is Atlético goalkeeper Mansur Azimkhan, born in February 2014.
The 12-year-old has already made his debut, starting in the first-week match against Zhas Kyran. He conceded in the 4th minute and was substituted in the 12th.
There are also 22 players born in 2013 in the tournament rosters. Almost all represent Atlético’s academy, with one exception — 12-year-old Ordabasy goalkeeper Yerbolat Zharylkassyn.
