Timur Turlov Named Sports Manager of the Year by Metaratings Top Awards

By decision of the jury, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Freedom QJ League, Timur Turlov, was recognized as Sports Manager of the Year for the past year. The shortlist was formed based on the results of public voting.

It is worth noting that Timur Turlov is not only the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Freedom QJ League, but also the President of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation. Under his leadership, several world chess championships have been held in the country, and athletes have won hundreds of medals at various levels — including a historic silver by the women’s national team at the Chess Olympiad and Kazbek Nogerbek’s victory at the World Junior Championship.
