Freedom QJ League B: Season Summary

Main image

The Freedom QJ League B tournament has come to an end. Here are the main statistical highlights of the season.

The championship title went to Ontustik. Notably, this is the second title for the club’s players born in 2008 – last season they also won the Freedom QJ League U17 B tournament. Only one team managed to defeat the Shymkent side – Altai. Meanwhile, Kyzylzhar, Elimai, KFF Academy, and Khan Tengri each held the champions to a draw.

The KFF Academy boys finished second – it’s worth emphasizing that their players are two years younger than most of their opponents. Finally, the Okzhetpes team from Kokshetau claimed the bronze medals.

The top scorer of the tournament was Alikhan Ali from Ontustik, who scored 23 goals in 17 matches. He also led the goal+assist ranking, adding 7 assists to his tally. Interestingly, Ali contributed either a goal or an assist in every match he played – missing only the final round.

The top assist providers were Alan Kamar (Ontustik) and Tamirlan Kalymzhanov (Okzhetpes), with 10 assists each. Among goalkeepers, Artem Pantsa (Ontustik) recorded the most clean sheets – 6 in 13 matches. The most saves (76) were made by Mukagali Tamabek (Khan Tengri) and Alikhan Temirkhan (Elimai).

The most high-scoring matches of the season were Khan Tengri vs Ontustik (Matchweek 11, 5:5) and Ontustik vs Elimai (Matchweek 17, 9:1). There was only one goalless draw – between Zhetysu and Ulytau in Matchweek 1.
