Matchweek 13 of the Freedom QJ League is complete. We look back at the main storylines from the younger age categories in League A.
Freedom QJ League U-17
The leaders remain inseparable
Kairat and Shakhter both recorded another victory and continue their battle for top spot. The two teams have identical records of 11 wins and two draws. The Almaty side remain ahead on the tiebreakers, with a goal difference of +50 compared to Shakhter’s +26.
Kairat claimed an emphatic 8-1 home victory over Astana in the latest round. The outcome was effectively decided before half-time. Radmir Vdovin opened the scoring in the second minute, Temirlan Abzhapar doubled the advantage in the eighth, while Georgy Grechka and Abzhapar, who completed a first-half brace, extended the lead late in the opening period.
Ruslanzhan Raimbakiyev made all five of his substitutions during the interval, and the changes paid off. Three of Kairat’s four second-half goals were scored by players who came off the bench: Abdrakhman Sarbasov in the 72nd minute, Ibrahim Asan in the 84th and Alizhan Zaru in the 90th. Abzhapar also completed his hat-trick in the 86th minute. Astana’s only goal was scored by Amir Asatov from the penalty spot in the 59th.
Shakhter completed their task in a different manner. The Karaganda side held a narrow lead over Irtysh at the break following Ali Sadyrbayev’s strike in the 35th minute, before significantly increasing their attacking output in the second half. Timur Kazantsev scored in the 46th minute and Altair Rapilbek added another in the 51st. Aidar Kuanyshbek completed the scoring in the 77th minute to make it 4-0.
The only setback for Shakhter was the dismissal of Sadyrbayev, who had also contributed two assists. Ali received his second yellow card in the 89th minute and will miss the next match.
Irtysh sit tenth with 12 points and 40 goals conceded.
Aktobe break down ten-man Caspiy
The match in Aktau ended in a 2-1 away victory for Aktobe, with the decisive moments arriving in the final 20 minutes.
Alinur Kenzhin opened the scoring in the 18th minute, but the hosts equalised after the break when Ruslan Kramarovsky converted a penalty in the 51st. Caspiy were then reduced to ten players after goalkeeper Nursultan Soltangazy received a straight red card in the 70th minute.
Rejepmurat Agabayev was forced to introduce substitute goalkeeper Ehsan Jenagi, with goalscorer Kramarovsky making way. The Aktau side were unable to hold on for a draw, as centre-back Abdullakh Otegen scored the winning goal for Aktobe in the 87th minute.
Aktobe consolidate fourth place with 23 points. Caspiy are seventh with 13.
Ten-man Zhas Kyran rescue a point
Taraz and Zhas Kyran shared the points, although the southern side had every opportunity to claim all three.
Taraz defender Batyrkhan Serikbay opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Late in the first half, the visitors were reduced to ten players when Aibar Raimbek received two yellow cards within a matter of minutes for stopping promising attacks.
Despite playing the entire second half with ten men, the Almaty side managed to avoid defeat. Zhanai Serikkul, who came on during the interval, became the hero for Zhas Kyran by equalising in the 71st minute. The match ended 1-1.
Taraz are ninth with 12 points. Zhas Kyran remain fifth with 20, three points behind Aktobe.
Freedom QJ League U-16
Atletico put eight past Kaisar
The match in Talgar produced the biggest scoreline of the round, with Atletico winning 8-0.
Ahmet Turan Coskun opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before Rasul Samayev completed a hat-trick to give Atletico a commanding advantage.
Anuar Zhagippar made a triple substitution immediately after the break, with Samayev among the players withdrawn. Miron Ishchenko came on in his place and had a penalty saved by Kaisar goalkeeper Aimurat Khamza in the 58th minute.
The miss did not stop Ishchenko. After Arman Batyrkhan made it 5-0 in the 68th minute, the substitute completed a hat-trick of his own within the space of 12 minutes.
Atletico have now won three consecutive matches and sit fourth with 22 points, just two behind Ordabasy. Kaisar remain bottom with six points after suffering their fifth successive defeat.
Adilet Orynbasar earns victory for Aktobe
For most of the match in Aktobe, there was little indication that the game would produce a dramatic finish. The two teams remained goalless for the majority of the contest, but received six yellow cards between them, four of which were shown to the visitors from Caspiy.
Yerik Yermagambetov introduced forward Adilet Orynbasar in the 54th minute, and the substitute decided the outcome with two goals in the space of six minutes. His strikes in the 74th and 78th minutes secured a 2-0 victory for Aktobe.
Aktobe sit fifth with 21 points, only one behind Atletico. Caspiy are tenth with ten points and remain the team with the weakest defence in the competition, having conceded 43 goals.
Freedom QJ League U-15
Kairat extend their lead
Matchweek 13 proved highly unsuccessful for second-placed Tobyl.
Kairat defeated Astana 3-0, with all three goals scored by the same player. Dias Abubakir found the net in the 14th, 53rd and 64th minutes. The Almaty side now have an impressive overall goal difference of 85-8.
Tobyl hosted Ordabasy and suffered their second defeat of the season, losing 3-0. Azizbek Bakhodirov opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Asanali Abduokhab doubled the visitors’ advantage before half-time. The third goal came in remarkable circumstances: Yermukhamed Zhomartuly entered the game in the 67th minute and scored just one minute later.
Irtysh took advantage of Tobyl’s setback. The Pavlodar side came from behind to defeat Shakhter at home. Yerasyl Abilda put the Karaganda team ahead in the 27th minute, but defender Aidos Otepov equalised in the second half before Alikhan Aitmukhambet converted a penalty to secure a 2-1 victory.
Kairat now have 37 points, Tobyl have 27 and Irtysh have 25. The leaders have extended their advantage to ten points, while Irtysh have moved to within two points of second place. Shakhter have dropped to seventh with 20 points.
Atletico finally claim their first victory
There was an emotional story in Talgar. Atletico were the only team in the competition yet to record a victory, having collected five draws and seven defeats from their opening 12 matches. That run finally ended in Matchweek 13, and it did so in convincing fashion as Atletico defeated Kaisar 4-0.
The outcome was decided in the first half. Ayan Kuan opened the scoring in the sixth minute before the hosts struck twice in quick succession in the 30th and 31st minutes. Amirzhan Omirzak scored the second, while Kuan completed his brace moments later. Muhammad Murtazaliyev added the final goal after the break. He entered the game in the 52nd minute and found the net in the 70th.
Atletico now sit tenth with eight points. For bottom-placed Kaisar, the defeat provided further evidence of their defensive problems. They have conceded 66 goals, by far the worst record in the competition.
