The Kazakhstan U-17 national team played their third match at the international Development Cup tournament currently taking place in Minsk, Belarus.
Bauyrzhan Sagyndyk’s side secured a 3–1 victory over Tajikistan. Anuar Tolendi, Islam Rakym, and Roman Chernomorets scored for Kazakhstan.
“It was a tough match. We lacked freshness, and due to squad rotation there were moments of limited understanding on the pitch. Overall, the boys did well, showed resilience, and I am satisfied with the performance. It was our third match, and we played yesterday evening, so there was very little time for preparation and recovery. Now we will have time to rest and analyze,” said Bauyrzhan Sagyndyk.
Earlier, Kazakhstan defeated Minsk and lost to Belarus U-17. On Monday, the team will play a match for third place.
It is worth noting that nearly all players in the squad have experience playing in the Freedom QJ League. In January, head coach Bauyrzhan Sagyndyk was appointed Head of the League’s Sports & Analytics Unit, having previously served as an expert analyst.
