Even though players born in 2008 are playing a leading role in the main tournament of the Freedom QJ League this season, the "jokers" – players born in 2007 – are also shining brightly.
Let us remind you: each club is allowed to register only five jokers for the season, and only three can be listed in the matchday squad and on the pitch at the same time. These limitations haven't stopped many of the older boys from making their farewell season in the League a memorable one.
Here are the top ten jokers who have collected the most points in Fantasy QJ League over the first six rounds:
10. Amirbek Bazarbayev (Kairat, defender, 7 Freedom-Coins) – 22 points
The reigning league champion and QJL All-Star 2024 participant has played four matches this season. While he hasn’t scored or assisted yet, he consistently earns points through interceptions and tackles. He also earned 4 points for Kairat's clean sheet in their 7-0 win over Kaisar in Matchweek I.
9. Robert Asryan (Aktobe, defender, 5.5 Freedom-Coins) – 23 points
Now in his third season in the League, Robert has played in all six matches. Like Bazarbayev, his Fantasy points mainly come from tackles and interceptions. He has received some deductions for goals conceded, but his clean sheet in the 6-0 win over Tobol balanced it out.
8-7. Sanzhar Rakhmatilya (Taraz, goalkeeper, 5 Freedom-Coins) – 26 points
The only goalkeeper on the list, and currently the top Fantasy keeper overall. He earned many points thanks to two clean sheets against Ordabasy and Caspiy, multiple saves, and a penalty stop in the game against the Aktau team.
8-7. Beibarys Abilda (Kairat, defender, 6.5 Freedom-Coins) – 26 points
Despite missing the last two weeks, he remains high on the Fantasy leaderboard. Like Bazarbayev, he gathered many interceptions and tackles but also added three assists and one goal – a great result for a defender.
6. Nikita Proshin (Irtysh, defender, 5 Freedom-Coins) – 29 points
Proshin’s standout performance came against Kaisar: he played the full match (1+1), made 10 tackles and interceptions (2), scored a goal (6), and contributed to a clean sheet (4), totaling 14 points. Irtysh also kept a clean sheet away to Caspiy. Even with a -3 deduction for conceding seven goals to Kairat, he ranks high.
5. Dias Ablassan (Kaisar, defender, 5 Freedom-Coins) – 31 points
A true master of interceptions and tackles. In four of six matches, he recorded 15 or more of these actions. His best was in Matchweek 6 against Atyrau: despite a 1-4 loss and a -2 deduction, his 26 tackles/interceptions earned +5 points – rewarding Fantasy players who picked him.
4. Saken Aitmukhambet (Irtysh, defender, 5 Freedom-Coins) – 34 points
The last defender on the list. Irtysh earned two clean sheets with him on the field. He stood out especially with 22 tackles/interceptions against Kaisar and a goal against Aktobe.
3. Azamat Tuyakbayev (Kairat, midfielder, 9.5 Freedom-Coins) – 39 points
A two-time league champion and one of the most expensive jokers in Fantasy. He’s played in only half the matchweeks due to commitments with Kairat-Zhastar but has still been among the most productive players – scoring and assisting, and earning at least 12 points in each match.
2-1. Gleb Makridov (Shakhtyor, midfielder, 7.5 Freedom-Coins) – 40 points
Though not every match has been successful for Shakhtyor’s leader, his performances against Zhas Kyran, Aktobe, and Caspiy have yielded valuable points for his team and Fantasy managers. In what is likely his final season in the QJ League, Gleb seems determined to finish on a high note.
2-1. Zhanali Yessenaliyev (Ordabasy, forward, 8.5 Freedom-Coins) – 40 points
Sharing the top spot with Makridov is a forward who isn't particularly popular among Fantasy users – only 27.89% selected him.
However, Zhanali is having a successful and, more importantly, consistent season: not only scoring and assisting, but also contributing with dribbles, tackles, and interceptions – all while avoiding costly penalties and driving his team forward.
