Milena Nikolenko – the Best Forward of Freedom QJ League W!

Only 13 years old, Milena played just 10 matches but scored 24 goals and provided 7 assists, becoming the top scorer of the season. She registered 50 shots on goal, 37 of which were on target. She also completed 123 accurate passes out of 186 attempts. Her most productive performance came in Matchweek VIII against Zhetisu, where she scored six goals and added one assist.

Winners of the individual awards — Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder and Best Forward — across all League tournaments will each receive 200,000 tenge in prize money from the League’s partner, Freedom Bank.

“My emotions are overwhelming. Honestly, I still can’t believe it. It feels amazing that my effort and the team’s work were noticed and appreciated. This award is not just mine — it belongs to the girls, the coaches and everyone who supported me. I feel huge gratitude and motivation to keep moving forward.

The season was tough and unpredictable at times, but that’s exactly what helped me grow. There were games where we had to fight for every ball. The brightest moment was when we managed to turn around a match that seemed lost and took the win.

The energy in the dressing room, when everyone believes in each other — that feeling is unforgettable. My goal for next season is to become more consistent, improve finishing, and help the team even more.

I want to spend the prize money on myself and my family. I want to treat my loved ones — they are always by my side and support me in the hardest moments. And honestly, I want to give myself a little rest to recharge and return stronger.

My message to the younger girls who will debut in the League next year: don’t be nervous, believe in yourselves, learn to listen to your coaches and your team. And most importantly — play with joy. When you enjoy the game, the results will always follow,” Milena shared.
