The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabossynov, shared his impressions after meeting with the leadership and team of the Freedom QJ League:
– Two years ago, the press conference dedicated to the launch of the QJ League was the first event I attended after being appointed Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture. At that time, not everyone understood what this project was about or the creative work it would require. Today, however, a systematic and comprehensive development approach has been achieved — something that Kazakhstani sport often lacks.
Currently, the Freedom QJ League has created comprehensive conditions for the development of children’s football. It not only organizes competitions but also develops training methodologies, helps coaches improve their qualifications, and integrates scientific approaches and digital technologies, such as AI cameras — all of which make a significant contribution to the growth of youth football. I’m impressed that such a model — even a franchise, you could say — has been built in such a short time, and it’s already capable of preparing our children.
President Kassym-Zhomart Kemeuly Tokayev, during the National Kurultay, emphasized the importance of developing professional football and the need for financing not only from the state, but also from other sources. He also stressed that clubs should focus on youth and grassroots sports. Private investments are also extremely important so that athletes can continue to grow and develop.
