Seilda Ikramovich was a master of sports of the USSR, a master of sports of international class, and an honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For many years, being a footballer, he was the captain of the Kairat Almaty. He played for the national team of the USSR.
After graduating from the sports school, Seilda Baishakov competed in the championship of the Dzhambul region among physical education teams for two years, after which he received an invitation to the local team of Energetik masters.
In 1969, Seilda Baishakov received an invitation to the national team of the Kazakh SSR. At that time, she performed under the leadership of Boris Karetnikov and brought together the best football players from various regions of the country.
The debut in Kairat took place on March 27, 1971 in Voroshilovgrad at a game with the local Zarya. The coaching staff entrusted the 20-year-old defender with a place in the starting lineup and was not mistaken. In 1971, Seilda Baishakov was recognized as the best debutant of the USSR Major League, together with Kairat he won the then prestigious Cup of the International Union of Railway Workers, and on March 22, 1972 he was awarded the high title of Master of Sports of the USSR.
On October 18, 1972, in Leningrad, the head coach of the USSR youth team Boris Nabokov released Seilda Baishakov, who was called up to the team, in the qualification match of the USSR European Championship against Finland.
On August 2, 1972, in Rostov, Seilda Baishakov opened the scoring for Kairat. In the match, the local army team led with a score of 1:0. There was a minimum of time left. Guests could not find an approach to the gates of rivals. The game was saved by the young defender of Kairat.
In total, in the Soviet Major League, Seilda Baishakov scored 7 goals. Plus, 4 goals in the First League of the USSR championship.
During the 11-year period of playing in Kairat, his teammates elected him their captain for six seasons. Behind the illustrious veteran 249 matches in the Major League and 71 games in the first division.
