The third season of the Freedom QJ League has come to an end. Alongside youth competitions in Kazakhstan, professional tournaments were also held, with many former League players gaining experience at senior level.
In 2025, a total of 368 footballers with experience in the Freedom QJ League received playing time in professional competitions.
Among them, 25 players featured in the Kazakhstan Premier League, 143 played in the First League, while four juniors competed in foreign championships.
The academies of Kairat, Astana, and Ordabasy were among the leaders in terms of the number of players developed. The academies of Aktobe and Zhas Kyran also stood out, as their graduates are receiving significant playing time in the First League.
A special index was also developed to assess the level and competitiveness of the league in which a player gains match practice.
According to this index, in addition to Kairat players competing in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League (Dastan Satpayev, Sherkhan Kalmurza, Ramazan Bagdat, Azamat Tuyakbayev, Olzhas Baibek), one of the most competitive players at professional level was Temirlan Murzagaliyev (an Aktobe academy graduate, currently playing for Kaisar), along with several players featuring in the First League.
The young players rule currently in effect in the First League played a crucial role in providing playing time and development opportunities for many juniors. Notable examples include Abulkhaiyr Aliakbar (Kaisar / Zhas Kyran academy graduate, Altay player), Timur Kurbanov (Zhas Kyran graduate, Caspiy), Tamerlan Agimanov (Irtysh), and Artyom Litosh (Kairat academy graduate, Shakhtyor).
As a result, the Freedom QJ League continues to play a vital role in the ecosystem of Kazakh football, creating all the necessary conditions for a smooth and effective transition from youth competitions to the professional game.
