This week marked the start of a visit by the Freedom QJ League’s Sports and Analytics Unit to the Astana Football Center as part of the methodological support program.
Throughout the entire weekly training cycle, from Monday to Friday, the League’s analysts Igor Shpanyora and Evgeniy Yarovenko have been actively assisting the coaches of the capital club in preparing for upcoming matches.
In addition to observing and later analyzing the training process, the visit also includes educational seminars on topics such as opponent analysis and the principles of a weekly microcycle.
“There are two weeks left until the end of the season, and some very interesting matches are coming up in terms of the teams’ positions in the standings.
The main goal of the Sports and Analytics Unit’s visit to the Astana Football Center was to provide assistance – to help plan the weekly cycle and prepare the team’s approach for the upcoming opponent. They have gathered a lot of information about their next rival, Ordabasy.
Our main task was to assist: to break down the phases of the game – with and without the ball – in order to achieve a positive result. It’s clear that compared to the beginning of the season, the coaches have gained confidence and improved their knowledge. They have strong coaching skills and are doing everything possible to achieve success.
Of course, they will play to win, but most importantly, they want to learn, to make the most of the opportunities provided by the Coach of the Future project, and to compete for the Best Coach of the Season award,” – noted Evgeniy Yarovenko.
